About MCQMED

MCQMED is a free question bank built to help Sri Lankan medical students and graduates prepare for the Final MBBS and ERPM exams. It brings together thousands of Single Best Answer and True/False questions, modelled on past papers, with explanations and revision notes — all in one place, at no cost.

Our mission

MCQMED is on a mission to support invaluable medical professionals in Sri Lanka by giving aspiring medical graduates the tools they need to succeed. We've worked with doctors, medical professionals and high-achieving students to build a powerful resource for your exam preparation.

Why free?

We believe exam preparation shouldn't be a barrier. MCQMED is free to use — if you'd like to support the running costs there's a donate option, but it will always stay accessible to every student who needs it.

A level playing field

We recognise the importance of a level playing field in medical education. We're working to bridge the gap between those who earned their medical degree locally and those who qualified abroad — building a common platform for all medical students, a community where everyone is welcome, supported and cherished regardless of where they trained.

Built for the whole journey

Right now MCQMED covers the five core final-year clinical subjects: Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with a separate postgraduate (ERPM selection) track. We're actively expanding — the goal is a single companion that grows with you, from your clinical years through to specialty selection.
